When a student is absent the parent note or doctor note must be turned in to the Attendance Office within five (5) days of the absence. If the student is going to be absent for a period of time, please fax the Doctor Note or Parent Note to 859-356-5516 to Mrs. McDonald ·

After 3 unexcused absences you will receive an attendance letter notifying you of this and a visit from the school. · After 5 unexcused absences you will receive a second attendance letter, another home visit or contact from the school. Also you will be contacted by the Kenton County Attorney’s office. · After 6 unexcused absences Jim Spaw, Court Liaison, will begin filing truancy charges. · After 7 and beyond, Jim Spaw, Court Liaison, will be notified so he can contact the courts. ·

PARENT NOTES.  Three (3) parent notes per trimester. Total parent notes for year is nine (9). A doctor’s note is required after nine parent notes. · SPECIAL NOTE TO SENIORS: Seniors accumulating 10 or more unexcused absences during their senior year will lose the privilege of participating in the commencement ceremony.
